Had the heads up on my next project at ClientCo today - transitioning a VB6/C++ application and essentially "owning" it

I haven't seen the code yet but I've already decided that a rewrite may be in order

I missed that conversation. Who was the heads up from?

Was the system the one I / BigBoss elluded to some time ago, or was it LQOS?

It's in the top right corner of Birmingham, near the NEC - just about doable; quick run down the M69, then up the M6, then off on the A446 meaning no need to deal with the M42.

Nick, I used to live (and still own a house) right next to J3 of the M6; and I used to work in Coleshill - so I did that journey a fair bit. My only advice, if you get the gig, is not to hit that last bit of the M6 any later than 8:20 if you can help it!

Before 8:20 it would take me about 15 minutes to get to work; after about 30 minutes!
