Wishing you all a very prosperous and happy 2009.

Where are we going? And what’s with this hand basket?

Ah crap. Oh well, these things happen

I spent about ten minutes dicking about with the tiny buttons on my phone creating this for you all:

        Happy New Year TPD

... and then somehow I triggered a keypress that caused Opera Mini to throw away my input and return to scratch

        FFS

Anyway, happy Thursday to you all - after all, that's all it is (although some people seem to resent it when one reminds them of that fact, for reasons I don't comprehend)

Thank you very much, kind Sir...

Was there much happening out and about your local area?

BTW, I meant to say "Hi EO, have some bananas"... but I forgot

Still, bananas for EO - yet let us remember that although lots of other people think tonight is important, it's merely a calendrical event of no actual significance. If we were Mayans, today would mean nothing.

                Happy New Thursday

Just the same old piss in a different shaped bottle

There's a reason I go to the P&T every New Year

What, the P&T on DL? If so, it's a quality boozer; not that I've been for yonks...

That's the one - the one I worked at from 1990 to 1992, rising to the dizzy heights of Assistant Manager, and gaining three stitches in my right eyebrow (and the urgent need of a new pair of spectacles) for my efforts

In other news, Her Majesty's Constables just turned up outside again - looks like they were trying to visit next door this time, as I was sifting through assorted discs, trying to find a playable copy of La Cabina.

I failed, so I'm listening to Tim Blake's New Jerusalem instead. Oh, and the Police seem to have left.

In a way, it's nice to know they're so readily available.

Also, I must burn myself a new DVD of La Cabina

I wonder, does my New Thursday sound better than yours
