Afternoon denizens
Just got off the phone with the pimpette regarding this WFH contract.
It appears that a bunch of rank amateurs are getting in there and driving down the rate
The stupidly low rates they're pitching at are probably representative of their pisspoor skills, but of course one can't depend on the end client realising that
Anyway, I haven't budged - I'd already trimmed my rate to reflect the lack of travel and so forth. If I go any lower I might as well join a YTS scheme and be done with it. Hopefully the end client will have some understanding of the fact that you get what you pay for.
It's all very slow moving as well - feedback next Wednesday, interviews the week after that... I'm used to phone call, interview the next day, start a day or two after that. It seems there is a slower pace of life in the provincesComment

Sounds frustrating - hang on in there. My current gig took ages to sort out, but the parent company are massive and therefore have a corresponding amount of red tape and process to go through. It didn't help that it was over the Christmas period either, but the whole thing from first contact with the agent to actually starting probably took about 6 weeks.Where are we going?
