I can thoroughly recommend the STOS episode "Arena".

This is definitely a classic and should be regarded as unmissable.

The first 4 seasons were very good... Season 5 was a little disappointing, but under the circumstances, that was understandable.

Took No. 1 son to see The Dark Knight at the IMAX in Birmingham today. Very impressed - haven't been to an IMAX before, and going back to "normal" cinema is going to be disappointing after that. The movie was very good too - although must have been very borderline for its 12A certificate.

Another day of muggy weather here

I wish we could have a nice thunderstorm to sort it out.

                    Evening denizens

Looking through my Amazon "Recommendations" and following some "People also bought..." links, I came across this book, which argues that much of the so-called forecasting and analysis used to drive business strategy is rubbish, serving merely to mask the randomness of reality.

I particularly liked the wording of one user-contributed review: ...finding out that the steering wheel I have been holding onto to steer my company is not connected to anything is a revelation
