                    Indeed - born in East Finchley Tube station, it seems.

                    As East Finchley is the point where the Barnet branch of the Northern Line emerges into the sunlit green uplands of North London, it presumably wasn't during an air raid - they just happened to be there at the time.

                    So they might as well have been in Woolworth's.

                    No sheltering from V1s in Jerry's story then... although he was once found to have hired a prostitute when a police raid uncovered a cheque he'd written for the provision of her services
