He is actually a really nice guy and I thought that beforeI snogged him - so no bias there
If this wasn't being written down for posterity I'd say "Nice? I'm sure he's a lovely sweetie dear" but I won't 'cos this is TPD.

But he's not getting a manly hug, either!

      What about a hearty hand-shake?

        Good Lord

This "ASP.NET/IE toolbar" post in Technical seems to be based on such a fundamental lack of understanding of the nature of client-server architecture in general, and the relationship between a web server and a web browser in particular, that I literally don't know where to start

I think I'll leave that one for people who enjoy banging their heads against a brick wall... I don't really have time to educate the OP in the absolute bare minimum amount of knowledge he needs to do his job

Isn't that what a dirty butcher does under the counter when there's no customers watching?

            How cruel is this?

On second thoughts, having skimmed through the pictures, I do feel much better about myself.

Surely you see that sort of thing all the time in Manchester?

I've never used Custom Explorer Windows before and I'm not going to now that I've looked at them (well, skimmed a few pages)

Seems a typical case of someone defining they MUST use a certain niche technology, then getting a developer in who has no idea how to implement it - and worse still (IMHO) seemed incapable of finding out for himself how to implement it (my first reply was 'learn how to use Google and ended up asking on a newsgroup.

I don't have a lot of hope that he'll be able to use the help I gave him, since it now appears to involve writing C++
