BP banning PSCs from end of March

Hearing the news from the agency and not directly from BP. Nice...

IR35 private sector reforms: BP contractors notified of incoming ban on PSCs

    That’s how it should be.

The agency has the contract with the worker, not BP.

There would be uproar if a Worker got given notice directly from BP - which is effectively what’s happened here

the company “will not increase rates” to compensate contractors for any loss in their take home pay that might occur as a result of the change in policy.
Glad I am retiring this year. BP are already paying 2 to 300 a day less than a decade ago anyway.

Why SHOULD the company increase their Bill rate to compensate for a workers loss of income.

BP (any company) didn’t make the change, they’re just enforcing it in the best way for their business

Correct me if I am wrong, but in this thread nobody has said that they should, yet anyway?

I’m not sure there’s much sympathy for the majority of contractors - partly because of your comment ‘already paying 2-300 per day less...’

Most people would be extremely lucky to be earning 200-300 per day, let alone to be earning 200-300 LESS per day

And I think you are spot on. That's why I left the UK to work overseas. When I retire, I'll come home.
