It's hard to see what you're typing with your head in the sand, let alone navigate the internet! The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he didn't exist -
Have they explained what legal recourse they think they can use? Restraint of trade for example?Originally posted by Quality View PostLooks like the PS that I am at is taking things seriously and actively looking at legal ways of declaring everyone outside of IR35. Most people here don't even realise they are working for a PS. They are now working with the single agent to change payment schedules to weekly so that we don't all give 2 weeks notice on 10th Feb. The latter is a positive move that will buy them more time to fix the former. The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he didn't existComment

No changing everyone's contracts so they have to deliver something every week or so.Originally posted by LondonManc View PostHave they explained what legal recourse they think they can use? Restraint of trade for example?"You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

Surely working practices would have to be changed too?Originally posted by SueEllen View PostNo changing everyone's contracts so they have to deliver something every week or so.
That said, if they can get a good contract/IR35 legal bod in, they'll be able to do it. PC is free in a couple of weeks I believe....The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he didn't existComment

Been told by the agency I'm through that I won't hear anything till the end of February. I think the PS client will take the TfL option, and I'm looking for a new contract.Comment

Glad May and cronies have there priorities right chasing small business owners for tax.
This also happens as the governments real intentions start to come to light.

Another week head down working through the products we are taking to market. We're waiting on the final draft (30th I think) and a partner selection exercise before launching.
To remind everyone. Nothing has changed in IR35 legislation, this is about education and assurance. At our firm, those contractors who are genuinely outside will be very well supported.Comment
