I was with an EBT and requested my settlement calculation a while ago. It included IHT (which I was not expecting). I saw at least one other person from a different scheme to mine also had IHT included. I also saw that others didn't have IHT included in their settlement calculations. My case was open under an enquiry rather than a DA so am wondering if it is the DAs that are being assessed for IHT as the original DA figure wouldn't have included it?

You were with Sanzar and they included the IHT in your settlement calculations? Did they say why?
I requested my settlement calculation last July and just got a letter today (after 6 months!). They didn't include the IHT but they did say this doesn't mean there won't be IHT in the future in case of law changes or other events... WTH, it sounds like it's never going to end!!! And also I saw someone said the interest was 3% per annual which is WRONG. It's 3% daily compounding i.e. a lot more than annual compounding...

No - it's 3% simple interest p.a.
The IHT element is a mess. My accountant has been told different things at different times. How can you 'settle' if late they can come back for more.
This is a mess. A colleague settled five months ago - got closure on the years and has just been told that he still may get charged IHT, even though the years have been closed. It's a con.
APN and an FTT is the way to go.
