Can anyone recommend a good tax advisor for someone with not much money i.e. charges a flat fee and not like PTS want a cut of any supposed savings made in negotiating a settlement with HMRC

The chances of PTS getting anying from their cut are close to zero.
HMRC don't negotiate. It's take it or leave it. -

One they and you settle on a figure, then you are correct, there is no negotiation to reduce it further for good will or good behaviour.Comment
