    Tax Advisor

Can anyone recommend a good tax advisor for someone with not much money i.e. charges a flat fee and not like PTS want a cut of any supposed savings made in negotiating a settlement with HMRC

The chances of PTS getting anying from their cut are close to zero.

HMRC don't negotiate. It's take it or leave it.

Not entirely true. HMRC make uninformed decisions and in my case my accountant and I successfully argued a reduction based on unclaimed expenses.

One they and you settle on a figure, then you are correct, there is no negotiation to reduce it further for good will or good behaviour.

I would advise getting in contact with StepChange StepChange Debt Charity
They provide free expert advice and may well be able to help.
