Expected CLSO-2, didn't expect much movement from HMRC though and they have completely ignored the Supreme Courts decision from the Rangers Case.
Time to stand up and continue the fight !!STRENGTH - "A river cuts through rock not because of its power, but its persistence" -
Are HMRC agreeing to settle again now? For a while they were not.
Have the settlement terms got worse?Comment

In a nutshell, they have now officially announced that promoter fees will be exempt from what you owe. So agreed they won't tax you on what you never received :-)Originally posted by BrilloPad View PostAre HMRC agreeing to settle again now? For a while they were not.

No mention of the Rangers decision, although they have removed all mentioning of EBT's though and group them all as DR schemes. Maybe they are gearing up for a 2 fight approach - Rangers type Schemes and Non-Rangers type schemes.STRENGTH - "A river cuts through rock not because of its power, but its persistence"Comment

Well they do say about settling for Employees...Originally posted by regron View PostNo mention of the Rangers decision, although they have removed all mentioning of EBT's though and group them all as DR schemes. You’re classed as an employee if you’re not a contractor and you were paid through a disguised remuneration scheme your employer used.
If your employer hasn’t already settled their tax affairs, to settle yours you’ll need to pay:
the same amount of Income Tax and NICs that your employer would have paid if they were settling your tax affairs
So does look like both PAYE and NIC have been passed on. For schemes like Edge, discovery assessments only ever included PAYE, never NIC..Comment
