    Well they do say about settling for Employees...

    You’re classed as an employee if you’re not a contractor and you were paid through a disguised remuneration scheme your employer used.

    If your employer hasn’t already settled their tax affairs, to settle yours you’ll need to pay:

    the same amount of Income Tax and NICs that your employer would have paid if they were settling your tax affairs


    So does look like both PAYE and NIC have been passed on. For schemes like Edge, discovery assessments only ever included PAYE, never NIC..

    Promoter fees being exempt is months old.

    I hope they are settling again...

    In a nutshell, they have now officially announced that promoter fees will be exempt from what you owe. So agreed they won't tax you on what you never received :-)

    No mention of the Rangers decision, although they have removed all mentioning of EBT's though and group them all as DR schemes. Maybe they are gearing up for a 2 fight approach - Rangers type Schemes and Non-Rangers type schemes.

    Expected CLSO-2, didn't expect much movement from HMRC though and they have completely ignored the Supreme Courts decision from the Rangers Case.

    Time to stand up and continue the fight !!
