It appears I've spent some time responding to a post now removed.

As such I've removed my response.

FWIW, I thought it was a good response.

              Thanks.

I suspect in fact it was no more than a recanting of words seen in these threads a number of times.

No it shouldn't be. Remember we are changing laws retrospectively. Doesn't matter where directors were liable or not - whether they can pay or not. When they are not considering what happens to a contractor family, they should not consider what happens to directors or QC or Staff families. QC, Directors and Staff and HMRC are as much as responsible for this mess as I am. Why only I should get punished?

And if I feel this is not justice and I don't stand up for it, what do I stand for?

Yes but you're missing the point.

They want to extort a few £billion, and the only realistic prospect of collecting that sort of amount is from the users.

This is a fight and the decisive difference in any conflict is will power (morale).

Your user name says it all.
I definitely need help. But to your point I am not asking for my money back. I will PAY each and every APN and settle in terms offered.

But now I want to demand that take the same pound of flesh from all - from PM's father to QC involved. With changing law power why only clean last 10 years. Government needs money and disabled need to be helped and thus we go all the way and anyone anyhow who did not pay 40% in IT should be issued a FN.

Blood is boiling but need to test and find how far I am ready to go for this. I guess all contractors want a revolution but all are waiting for someone to start it!

You have to decide what is within your power to control.

Changes to law/settlement terms/policy on contractors? Possibly.

Will you overturn the weight of centuries of politicians protecting their own? No.

There are too many vested interests on all sides and when they refurbish the Westminster Palace, it should be entirely in glass because the people inside will not be throwing stones, that's for sure.

Some things are out of your control and without a nationwide movement, will always be out of your control. Accept it or else it will drive you insane. Read King Lear - look what it did to him.
