Actually it looks like UKIP lost seats here
I guess the Labour vote came from lib dem and tory defectors who couldn't bring themselves to vote UKIP then. Makes sense given how many rich immigrants live here, I don't inagine UKIP won many friends. While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. Labour, well it's downhill!
In my town the council give x amount of money for a driver to drive the elderly/disabled etc people round. They gave the money directly to the driver, so instead of buying a minibus he bought a Mercedes car. He was investigated by the police but wasn't charged, put it more down to incompetence. Anyway, he has a nice car out of hours now.
The local council approved 20k to be spent (told to me by a tory candidate but I have seen the caravan) on a gypsy caravan (old fashioned type) to make the travellers feel more at home when going to school.
We have a 5 million pound building for the yoof, high tech, looks great. Councillors all over it saying how they brought the investment to the local area. However, now that they realised that people running it didn't have a business plan or any more money left it sits there unused. There was perfectly good school that was unused that they could have done up. Anyway, now the councillors are blaming the recession and telling people it was nothing to do with them.Comment

Its like reading Littlejohn:
Bearing down deeply on issues around...
Politicians don’t only seem to inhabit another planet, they have their own language.
Out in the real world, how many people do you ever hear talking about ‘issues around’ and ‘across the piece’?
I remarked on Tuesday that Ed Miliband had started slipping ‘deeply’ into every other sentence to show how much he cares.
He also talks about ‘bearing down’, which is a favourite phrase of Nick Clegg in relation to everything from illegal immigration to bovine TB.
I’m not the only one irritated by this ridiculous jargon. Marcia Peel writes from Bridport, in Dorset, to say it drives her mad, too.
She heard Miliband using ‘bearing down’ while being interviewed on the wireless. ‘It was so ridiculous I had to switch off the radio,’ Marcia says.
‘Bearing down is an expression I associate with childbirth.’
After days of glorious sunshine, the weather took a decided turn for the worse yesterday.
As we headed out to the polling station, thunder crashed, lightning flashed, the heavens opened and an almighty shower of hailstones descended, as if in divine retribution.
Could this have been God’s way of punishing us for voting Ukip?
Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.Comment
