      Selfridges? Or macdonalds?
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Whether I get it or not doesn't make a difference to the fact I am interviewing for a genuine role at a rate so high I might cry. Good signs. However, I think the market is demanding the experience and skills which is probably why the market is looking good to us....

I'm near there too, Have spent 4.5 years on 2 contracts there and it was fine. Had a good manager.

See you at the London drinks.

So for one of the agents is like going back to the 1990's wanting proper references before putting me forward.

No problem with that I know the client, another contractor I've previously worked with is already there and its as local as I will sensibly get and the calls are actual reference calls rather than attempted sales calls but I'm struggling to see what the calls actually achieve.

Previous manager is now a friend, contractor who is already there wants another competent person and friendly face to chat to and I was sat 3 feet away when the other reference was taken.....

There is no one market, making this kind of thread meaningless unless you specify which market you are talking about. The market for skill A might be booming and for skill B there might be nothing.
