I met a builder on the Woolwich Ferry the other day. He does stonework for places like Harrods. He told me that the economy is still tight and plenty of competition from abroad.

Who do I trust - someone I have met and seemed honest or someone who posts cretinous nonsense, insults everyone else and has never shown up at a meeting (as they are scared they will have the poo beaten out of them)?

        Which one?

Plenty of posters have had sockies permabanned - my favourite was "Alan Brannigan" on the BN66 threads.......

Because you'd want a properly insured and legitimate company to do any serious work and many (most?) Poles don't work that way.

Certainly not your judgement since you're mad as a box of frogs.

So if a builder cocks up your works, the building inspectors have insurance to pay for it?
You may want to revisit who exactly is a moron.

Fair enough. Around my way there seem to be a few proper firms that have been started by Poles. The loft conversion in the place I'm currently living was done by one, it seems pretty sound although we had some damage during the storms they seemed to do a good job of fixing it as well.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'
