It was only when larger numbers arrived that they came into contact with each other, and gradually rivalry and resource conflicts developed - a conflict that the whites won, leading to the native americans confined to the reservations that they now occupy, and the whites becoming the most powerful civilization on earth.
In the case of the UK we similarly have immigrants coming here for a new place to live, and we (the native white people in the UK) are suffering aggregate negative effects from it.
Although the immigrants are not yet killing us off like we did the red indians (well not many of us yet).Comment
