If UKIP are the answer, then it must have been a very stupid question.

Great, very impressive. You were selling your services to RBS, I presume.

No its the going rate for health economics specialists. Like many mediocre IT geeks you live in your own little bubble of stupidity.

Very good. If you've managed 250 days at that rate in the last 12 monts then you've just beat me.

Yes really. Total EU migration went from 66 thousand in December 2003 130 thousand in December 2004 to 180 thousand in June 2013. Roughly triple. Your quoting the figures for the 8 newly joined countries only, and ignoring the period before those countries joined. Exactly the sort of "spin" you keep accusing others of.

Total commonwealth migration rose from 167k to over 200k and then more recently fell to 110k over the same period. That includes a lot of places you might actually consider "rest of the world", if you look at migration from the "old" commonwealth (i.e. India, Canada, Australia, NZ etc) it fell from 62k to 24k over the same period, a drop of more than 50%.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

I did more than 250 client-days, yes, meaning I was charging that rate to more than one client at the same time - some of the time. Which leads to a bit more stress than I want.
I could do with hiring a couple of staff and making this a real business but can't be fooked with the hassle

                  This debate is slightly sterile.
Looking at the stats: exam performance, success in earnings, movement from working to middle class - there seem to be two successful ethnic minorities in the UK: Chinese and Indians.
Pakistanis and Afro-Carribeans in general languish at the bottom. Eastern Europeans seem to be somewhere in the middle.
We should be getting more successful immigrants in, in particular, the Indians we are getting now are second-rate compared to the best ones who go to the US and are responsible for a full 33% of start-ups in Silicon valley.
Mediocre immigrants wherever they come from, India or Poland (e.g. Mos) are no use to anyone.

They're also expensive. For each stats expert we have in the business with a Masters we're paying £100k before bonus/shares. One is moving to my team to do predictive analysis using R off my data warehouse. The stuff produced to date has been impressive but I hold the most sales/activity data in the company and we're looking for someone to unlock it so we can target our investments.

I'm not sure that's completely true. The US Indian guys I've worked with have all been quintessential bobs.
