Ah, that shines a very different light on things. So, is the new contract one which was started with the brolly? -

The contract is between my previous umbrella company and the end client. I no longer wish to use an umbrella company so am setting up a ltd company.

Yes, when i was offered the job the agency asked if i was ltd or umbrella. I gave my umbrella company details, saying that i will be moving to a ltd once all is set up, which i am in the process of doing.Originally posted by MyUserName View PostAh, that shines a very different light on things. Less than the dangers of a brolly. That said, you need to read up on IR35. Also highly recommended to get your contract vetted by someone like QDos for IR35 status.Originally posted by Rapscallion View PostWHat are the dangers of Ltd? As for your first week, I think if you want a harmonious relationship going forward I would swallow that down.Knock first as I might be balancing my chakras.Comment

The danger is not in operating a Ltd company per se. The danger is you not knowing and researching what this entails and fully understanding your obligations in doing so.Originally posted by Rapscallion View PostWHat are the dangers of Ltd?
