No. I want to do my best, and I never get even, I just get going. But if I should find that I really want to be gone in 2 weeks rather than 4, although I have never cut it short before in my contracting life, this time I am tempted to think that what is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. -

Notice: 1 month.Originally posted by suityou01 View PostWhat's your notice period?

Got plenty of other references, usually work with the same agents anyway.
I have been told that the client will almost certainly give me notice very soon, so I am already looking, but my prospects are usually "wanted ASAP" rather than 1-month.
OTOH I could just give the 1-month notice and take it from there, and TBH I would never have considered cutting it short, if it had not been for the poetic justice of turning about what they did to me.Comment

I guess my attitude is the same, as shown by the fact that I've never done it before, and that I had to ask (ask CUK General for ethical guidance??)
When I am shafted by the client just after having missed a few opportunities, and then go on the bench for the reat of the year, I'll be back to collect my plaudits for being honourable.Comment

If you have 4 weeks left then start interviewing. You have to bridge the gap between how long new ClientCo will wait and how much notice you need to give old ClientCo. It takes skill.Originally posted by expat View PostI guess my attitude is the same, as shown by the fact that I've never done it before, and that I had to ask (ask CUK General for ethical guidance??)

We are around the corner from April for new budgets so it's the ideal time of year to be out.
