So you can't call out a fault unless you're perfect? "He who is without sin cast the first stone" and all that (which is about vengeful accusations not justice anyway) but no country is free from homophobia to some degree. Calling up the laws in some US states as the reason the nation shouldn't speak out about the institutionalised abuse in Russia is silly.

If you followed your own arguments, you'd not have posted this thread because you're probably a hypocrite sometimes.

In the same way that we had Section 28 - which William Hague made a three-line whip to vote in favour of keeping it when he was party leader. Perhaps that's why the FCO has remained fairly quiet over Russia's laws.
