You are supposed to wear a label saying who you are doing L2B for. One guy has written "for me. thanks for the bypass". I was not sure he should have been doing it.

We were all well withing our limits. Vetran was quite fresh at the end (fitness wise, not smell wise!) and admitted he could have made a few more miles.

I was thinking about the 2 serious incidents this morning.

30,000 riders at 54 miles is over 1.5 million cycle miles. 2 accidents in 1.5 million miles doesn't sound too bad.

Suspect there were a few more with cuts and bruises though.

I just find the idea of unfit IT people going cycling to raise money for BHF, of all things, to be darkly amusing. If all the people doing L2B were all on their bikes to begin with your likelihood of having heart disease would be highly reduced

Glad it went well though. Did anyone seriously expect MF to participate?

Why mention MF? Why weren't you there?

We all agreed it was an iconic cycling event well worth doing - very crowded but still worthwhile. If some good will come of it then wonderful.

Brillo gets the prize for chief cheerleader. Whipping the crowd into a frenzy, he was. (He's got the legs for it too)

Didn't MF state he would absolutely definitely be there?

Why would I be there? Why would I travel hundreds of miles to cycle to raise an amount comparable to the travel cost involved

Doogie you're a cock socket. Now STFU.

If he did, I'm sure you'll be able to link to the post.

He apologized for not being in the country. Well as close to an apology as MF gets.

I don't think we did this to raise money - its the icing on the cake. Its to prove we can cycle 54 miles. Tough terrain too - Souith Downs is quite a mean hill.

If you can cycle 54 miles then please continue. If not then STFU.

MS - I am very grateful to each and every spectator along the route. Got to make it worth their while. The finish was amazing - must have been hundreds there - maybe a thousand?
