You're all in the south aren't you? I'm toying with the idea of joining my church's cycling club - have been for some time. They have done a C2C (over 2 days IIRC) and similar to raise money for Foodbank which sounds fun.

I'll join a cycle event in the midlands or somwhere like that. Even the North West is fine for me as I often visit the wife in North Wales.

Here is your chance to raise £1000 for the food bank! I will sponsor for the foodbank too if you accept the challenge - I bet a few from CUK would too.

Remember I raised about £4000 when I did my IM - about £1000 of that came from CUK.

Lets see if you have faith in the Lord.

You seem to be labouring under the impression I have any desire to prove myself to you or anyone else. I don't, and I never suggested I do. I never stated I could beat any of you, or that I could even complete the event. Childish challenges to compete against people who do this kind of thing for fun don't interest me. Neither does trying to use charity as a goad.

If you want to donate to foodbank then good for you. I prefer to give money to charity than to bleat to everyone I know about how I'm doing a bike ride. I don't do things to raise money and I don't sponsor people - I just decide what I'm going to give and give it.
