I reckon there should be a bounty for everyone who brings in the head or scalp of everyone who invented bus lanes, taxi lanes, seepd humps, chicanes, speed cameras, traffic calming etc.
Photographs of them dangling from lamposts would be worth an extra bonus. People stringing them us should be given a lifelong amnesty from road tax and speeding fines and be automatically be found not guilty of murder without ever having to go to trial
The scalped ones should then have their house bulldozed , in fact the whole street, as a warning to others

As I drove down the M20 into Kent last Monday, I noticed that most of the speed cameras had been burned out by vandals. This is disgusting. It is ridiculous, criminal and stupid that the person who savaged these life-saving devices should target the M20 … and then stop. Why did you not keep right on going? I can think of six cameras on my way home that would be immeasurably improved with a spot of petrol and a match

Well, it IS a very male world in that respect and I can kind of understand the scepticism. But we are around - you just may not see us in the bar of the Premier Inn because we're normally tucked up with a box set away from all the leering and unwanted attention.
