Well, it IS a very male world in that respect and I can kind of understand the scepticism. But we are around - you just may not see us in the bar of the Premier Inn because proper contractors don't stay in crap hotels. And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? In London the bus is a great cheap way to get out and see the city and surrounding areas.
During the summer Mrs Scrag and I regularly jump on a semi random bus and go on a London bus adventure to somewhere new.Never has a man been heard to say on his death bed that he wishes he'd spent more time in the office.Comment

Exactly what I do. Whenever in another city I tend to get a daily/weekly/whatever pass and use that as you tend to get to see more of the city you're in. In Berlin there's a couple of bus routes which follow the exact same route as the tourist sightseeing buses yet costs just a fraction and over New Year I was in Freiburg and did both trams, buses and cable cars.Originally posted by Scrag Meister View PostIn London the bus is a great cheap way to get out and see the city and surrounding areas.

Buses round here are chariots of the underclass, very rarely get on them and try not to touch anything when I am aboard.Comment
