Buses round here are chariots of the underclass, very rarely get on them and try not to touch anything when I am aboard.

Exactly what I do. Whenever in another city I tend to get a daily/weekly/whatever pass and use that as you tend to get to see more of the city you're in. In Berlin there's a couple of bus routes which follow the exact same route as the tourist sightseeing buses yet costs just a fraction and over New Year I was in Freiburg and did both trams, buses and cable cars.Originally posted by Scrag Meister View PostIn London the bus is a great cheap way to get out and see the city and surrounding areas.
During the summer Mrs Scrag and I regularly jump on a semi random bus and go on a London bus adventure to somewhere new.

Well, it IS a very male world in that respect and I can kind of understand the scepticism. But we are around - you just may not see us in the bar of the Premier Inn because proper contractors don't stay in crap hotels.
