The site is called contractorUK not ITcontractorUK so this forum is for all contractors not just for IT professionals (a term BTW which includes IT permies).

The URL is contractorUK, but the home page states it is aimed at IT contractors.

Of course, many of the contracting issues are applicable to other contracting disciplines

When I joined I was surprised by some of the posts. There are not many forums were it goes on.

But after time I guess you get desensitised to it and pass over anything 'marginal'

No this is an IT contractors forum. You dont get builders and painters and decorators in here. We got standards.

Builders, painters and painters are self employed not contractors.

There are I am sure a number of other contractor types hanging around here - oil, gas, tv, health, finance I am sure the whole spectrum are represented maybe they don't always speak/contribute!

We also have Tat shop owners and sledge salesmen. An eclectic mix.

OK I accept that, I haven't read the home page in years, but I am sure if a poll was done yes the majority would be IT some others might even own up to being on here.
