The only person I ever heard use that word before was my mum. Thought she'd made it up tbh. It was only ever used to describe a buffet at christmas time.

Re the permie - are you sure it's not a contractor enjoying his foie gras and bollinger whilst you lot trough through the aldi pork pies and own brand pringles?

If I'd wanted to have dinner with a bunch of middle aged, geeky contractors passing cheap, infantile gifts to each & who would fawn, laugh & gurn over my every word I'd go down to the canteen and sit with my team.
