Rather more on his stock options in Google and his Directorship of Apple, I'd have thought. All the proceeds from his (Oscar winning) film and books and his share of the Nobel went to charity.

Gore is an advocate and sometimes goes in for hyperbole, however his books and movie are based on reliable science.

The concensus is real and it arises from the proportion of scientific studies that detail the multiple lines of evidence that indicate the reality of AGW as opposed to those that contradict it (c97%) and the number of professional scientific bodies that have issued statements in line with the concensus (100%).

What proportion of climate scientists support the CAGW hypothesis ? the last I heard, it was close to 50/50


I also think that you seriously underestimate how politicised this area of science has become. The head of the NASA team that you referred to earlier can be seen in handcuffs in that link I posted.
These are NOT dispassionate men of science. They are activists, bring their passions into what should be an unbiased search for the truth
