Well worth a visit if you're ever in Bath...
Only if you want a small steak that's overpriced. The best steak in bath is The Heard

    Home - the herd

I did like the stuff, and the concept (although 4 packs when you work 5 days a week isn't right!) but it seems pretty pricey.

I noticed there's a very similar business doing the same regular delivery of fresh-roasted specialist coffee. Not sure if it's the same people or just the same idea.

I don't know if they make any profits but they are listed in the top 100 fastest growing UK companies (see Sunday Times from last week or was it the week before?).

Never tried there. I'd heard mixed reviews of The Hudson Grill (the old Hat & Feather) but on the couple of occasions I've been it was excellent.

The herd (thank you iPad for not correcting my spelling) is really nice the owner is really friendly. I took my son in there for a treat one Saturday evening after a shopping trip. The coat du boeuf is to die for. Have been to Hudson's once and it's good they are part of the same team that own the cowshed in Bristol. I really like the butchers that is attached next door (Ruby and Marble)it's just a bit of an effort unless you are buying something big.

I think both Hudson's and The shed suffer the same problem if it's gets busy the steak is always way past cooked properly when you get it.
