I think myself and a few people I know have proven your second paragraph wrong. Having probably done most of the tulip (apart from boning my cousin, I think) that you state, I am of value to this 'model' world, possibly even more than you because I can in fact relate to what you presumably see as degenerate behavior and quite confidently state whether it's good for you or not. Its a bit like saying "I don't like asparagus" when you've never eaten it...Aren't most despots well educated and would you consider them more worth than other people?

We could keep a few recruitment agents, accountants, lawyers and other non-wealth creating parasites I suppose. There's too many of them in the UK which is why we're falling down the rankings of the wealth-producing nations.
Imagine grown adults (admittedly they're rather thick) simply spending their life counting what other people have earned and created.

Yep, but then you'd have to finance your own security to prevent the downtrodden masses of agents and accountants trying to break into your house and raid the fridge and do unmentionable things to your children.

Private security's expensive; a functioning welfare state, police force and justice system based on equality before the law are cheaper.
