Giving them all some fossils as presents would be a nice touch.

Nope, it turns out that scientific dating methods are all wrong and (I swear that he said this) logic is 'just a rehash of old pagan beliefs dressed in the drag of science'. So fossils prove nothing and there are no transitional species anyway. Although thus far both he and his father give incorrect definitions for evolution, natural selection, theory, macro evolution and micro evolution. When I have previously corrected their terms they continue with the same argument without pausing for breath and reverted back to their incorrect definitions after the conversation.

All the time this nonsense is being thrown around my 4 year old is taking it in!

That would worry me - it's a bit like trying to tell a ten year old Santa Claus is real...

I feel for you I really do they simply would not be invited to set foot over the threshold of my humble abode...

            are they American?

No, it's like trying to tell a 4 year old Santa is real. With probably the same result - they'll believe it utterly until they're a bit older, then become dubious but not really sure, then make up their own mind a little later still.

Telling a 4yo "God made it" isn't going to harm their ability for rational thinking and making up their own minds.

Not inviting them is not an option. They are also great people apart from this. They are not even American, all born and bred in England.

That is only true if you ease off on Santa being real. If you keep insisting on it, make them say it every meal time and every morning in school, spend hours learning about it on Sundays whilst threatening them with torture if they ever disagree then far fewer 10 children would work out Santa is not real.

Hmmmnnn Christmas ...... I'll be having some cold hard cash to feed my Handbag habit

But we're not really doing gifts for each other, having a weekend away in the new year instead.

But Santa IS real; he's just written the Scottish Independence blueprint.
