My tulipgiveometer barely flickers. I haven't see it and I don't care. While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.' -
They are all tulip. Boots, Tesco, Morrison's, M&S, John Lewis..."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

All the Christmas ads this year are over-long and annoying in a cloying "trying to make an arty film" kind of way.
Hard Brexit now!

I blame Wilkinsons the idiots in their marketing team think the public are so thick they need to tell the customers what to do with a kettle.
They now have little phrase on each item.
'pop on and we can have a nice cup of tea.' - Kettle
'use this to fry mars bars' - Deep fat fryer (north of the border only)
'stick these on if you are old to keep the floor dry' - Adult Diapers
Its almost as condescending as political parties.Comment

They have a "cave" in peter Jones with a TV showing the video - repeat after repeat. The shop assistant said he would never tire of watching it
Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyoneComment

The Ad is obviously doing its job quite well!
Although you all hate it/slag it off etc - You are talking about it!
The Hype is exactly that - Hype to get brand awareness and all that tulip.
I am not suggesting that I agree with the notion that spending squillions of quid to make the adverts, plus seeding twatter, bribing the journos and all the other media feeding frenzy is actually "worth" it/anything but it appears to have achieved what the Marketing Luvvies wanted.Comment

Pointless, why don't they show offers and deals, i.e. actual useful information. Or just a 5 second add with their logo and saying the money they would have spent went to charity.Comment

I think someone did that a few years ago -Originally posted by russell View PostOr just a 5 second add with their logo and saying the money they would have spent went to charity.
