Why is Aldi "skinflint southerners" - they have them up north too.

The one we don't appear to have is Waitrose - I remember it being where we shopped when I was about 6 but then we moved to Cornwall and I went up north and I have literally never seen once since!

In Germany there's Aldi Nord (North) and Aldi Sud (South). Whether there's a difference in the food, I wouldn't know as I've never been to one...
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Used to be one in Durham replacing the safeways in the the gates shopping centre. Didn't last long though which given that shopping centre isn't surprising

Never knew they had put a Waitrose in there, what a bloody stupid idea. It was Safeway when I was a student and I was sad to see it close, especially as nobody else seemed able to make it work - it always seems to be some sort of cruddy cheap shop on the rare visits I make there. The whole shopping centre is depressing although that whole side of town is pretty dismal, shops turnaround faster than Suity's contracts.
