Whats in it for me!
if nothing don't bother.
If you are after the princess you have to kiss a few frogs, and pretend you like it!
Smile and say, of course you can have referees - you get the previous agent.
If you want more get me a confirmed interview.Comment

I am currently looking for my next contract and am getting lots of calls from agents.
I am always friendly, polite and chatty.
I know that very few - if any - of these conversations will come to anything.
Its just good manners as far as I'm concerned, and is all part of selling yourself.I'm sorry, but I'll make no apologies for this

I had one email me about a role. I replied and said "I can't do it for that".
So he asked what can I do it for. I named a price I would be OK with.
I expect it will be a no, but you never know.
If I was rude, where would I be?While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'Comment

OH and I went to meet an agent yesterday for a chat - I expected nothing to come out of it and only went as I thought It would be good experience, and I was going into town any way.
Just had a call from them, they have a client who wants to interview me.
I'm sorry, but I'll make no apologies for this
