Tell you what, how about the cronies take their persist unamusing 'banter' to "Light Relief" category instead? That is surely where persistently rude and cyclical so-called humourous responses belong and can therefore be expected at every turn? It would make much more sense to reshape the forum in this way.

Yet another interesting thread decimated by the typical few who can't afford seriousness - and deviate to outright rudeness - just because it's in 'General', which does not invalidate the right of people to post in such a section to get valid and constructive responses, given that 'General' is probably the best place for this thread.

If anybody else tires of it, might be worth also sending some feedback to the main admin-of-the-admins.
Thank you. It's such a shame 'professional' contractors find it appropriate to behave in this way and ruin interesting discussions.

What's stopping my company borrowing a lot of money when the company is doing well, then use this to pay salary when on the bench? If a new contract doesn't come along and this money runs out... then the company can go into liquidation, correct? Nothing really stopping me from starting a new company and repeating this procedure, is there?
You're right! Not only that, but no-one has ever thought of this before, and there is no way you can get yourself into trouble with this! It sounds like an excellent idea. You should start this process now - it doesn't matter if you're on the bench or not, just go borrow the money, pay it out and wind your company up. Redo it a few times and get back to us.

The professional contractors have behaved impeccably. You need to consider who the rest of us are.

Taking money from your company while you know it's insolvent is a great way to meet new people. Mind you, I've never really seen the fascination in wanting to spend time with men who wear wigs in public... Once you meet those nice people, they'll often send others round to your house for a chat about life, the universe and everything and help you clear out unwanted clutter from your house and driveway, sometimes they'll even help you get rid of that unsightly house you live in.

You need an accountant to tell you that?

I hope you are not considering yourself as one of those 'professional contractors' with a post like that.

'General' should be posts that don't quite fit into another category. On the majority of forums posting in a general non-specific topic genre doesn't result in one being derided at every opportunity.

Tell you what, why don't you take your magnificent 45 posts and stay away from General? Stick to the Professional forums where moderation is much tighter.
