The South-east is a money-focused world. While not having money creates problems, having money itself generates worries about losing it, what to do about it, how to look after it.

People in the south no longer just live their lives. They worry about earning money, investments, property, pensions, taxation etc.
It's as if everyone has become a mini business focussed on profits and losses.

Ah come on now Dim, bit of a sweeping statement there. Having just moved down from Birmingham, I found folks there had exactly the same worries.
