I'm sure the stress is from worring about which friendly stranger to talk to next
I remember the good old days of this site when people used to moan about serious contractor related issues like house prices and immigration. How times have changed!?

        Aye Expat

Interesting link, I liked this part especially ...

A surprising number of young retirees are single.

This is partly due to the great wealth created in high-tech in the 1990s. Guys retiring out of those companies tend to be computer programmers, a group shunned by the female sex.

Most young retirees had to work long hours before they retired. A person who works long hours is not going to be interesting to a discriminating member of the opposite sex.

What can a guy who works 80 hours per week talk about except his job? He won't have read the latest books, seen the latest movies, learned any new skills, or met any fun people. If one of the things that you'd pushed aside during your working years was dating and marriage, it would not be wise to move to an isolated mountain top.
