Yes, that was my point... so what? Why is racially motivated hatred worse than general hatred? Probably best to focus resources in proportion to the size of the problem... town-centres on a Friday night are a far worse than a few religious nutters, problems with our own society are in more need of attention IMO.

One is more likely to spark a riot than the other.

They are two separate types of offences. They may have a similar outcome.

And of course its not an either / or its one issue at a time.

Because it is not simply "racially motivated" when the racial (or religious) hatred has an element of political ideology and organisation. Can you not see why politically organised crime is a significant threat that needs to be dealt with when small?

Don't think I will bother with the crusader knight costume next time I am in London.

Muslims beating someone up for drinking is no different than Rangers fans beating someone up for wearing a Celtic shirt in my view, or local youths going on the warpath for posho university students, in my opinion.

We have strict gangs patrolling the streets stopping people eating kebabs and burgers. Damn Vegeilantes.

Would it be different if they wore paramilitary uniforms?

You laugh, I worked at a place for a while where the boss would sack anyone found to be eating a burger at lunchtime (off premises included)

Surely it's their stated cause that is under debate, not mode of dress.
