Morals have meaning when we are judged by ourselves and our peers, or when we are judging others.

Yes but ultimately the only thing which matters is perpetuation of the species. And even that doesn't 'matter' in the sense we use the term... species don't yearn to survive.

If morality is based on no foundation, the only reason to follow it is self-interest.

I find the idea bizarre anyway. If I was in heaven it would not be paradise for me as I would hate the fact that millions of people are being punished for eternity, many of them for simply believing what their parents taught them was right. Anyone who could enjoy eternal paradise when that is happening is a disturbing person IMHO.

Even worse is that, being as I am not going to heaven any family member or friend would be sitting in paradise whilst I am being tortured for ever. Logically they would rather this was not happening (otherwise they would not be friends etc.) which means either they will not be experiencing paradise or they will have some kind of brain change made to them to enjoy - in which case they will not be them anymore anyway.

So any family member, friend or anyone who is vaguely humane will not be going to heaven anyway unless they are magically changed into a different person and made not to mind people being tortured.

So if your God was disproved you would see no reason to act in a moral way and would immediately become a liar/thief/rapist etc?
