Shame, although I never understand people who take risk to their life like that. Fear is there for a reason.
I can and do understand. Most people probably never have a 'near death' experience so don't understand when those that squeeze the most out of their lives do the things they do. No, I wouldn't climb mountains (apart from being too old), but I do race cars.
