I grew up on a council estate in the 70's and 80's. I seem to recall there were only a tiny number of families who were like the people in the article. The remainder were honest and hardworking blue-collar salt-of-the-earth people.

Because most middle-aged white people look really hot, yeah right. And most people with 10 children still have a good figure.

They just look like average working class folk, they don't have the 'crim' features and the guy just looks a bit tired rather than shifty.
