One assumes that if the men were jailed, the courts had reason to believe that they should have been aware of her age.

The other opinion is that a girl solicits sex on the internet, men answer her advert, and don't realise she is not > 16.

But it's really not clear from the story.

I cannot quite get my head around what happened. Did one of them have control of her was prostituting her out or was she the one who was instigating things? I am not saying that this is the determining factor of course, I am just trying to figure out what actually happened.

Either way I was not aware that they could report your name and address in the papers!

There isn't, but there is an argument for enforced chemical castration to make them more likely to behave when they get out of prison in a few months

They were found guilty so yes their name and address will appear in the paper.
