David Moyes sacked

The plan is this - Moyes will spend next 40 years wandering from one defeat to another, until there is a completely new generation of supporters ready to accept that ManU is just a 2nd rate team.

As a pool fan I will try and give a balanced view.

The appointment of Moyes is very similar to the appointment of Hodgson. Neither manager had the experience of managing a beast of a club, didnt have the pulling power in the transfer market and had dated views to the way the game should be played.

Fergie was feared by refs all over the country and I think this season we have seen that refs now don't feel pressured into giving decisions fearing they will get reported or dropped down a division.

Man U have an aging team with no pace, the central defenders are either too old, or too young and haven't learnt their trade.

I think it is a bit unfair to Hodgson to compare him to Moyes.

I think the Hodgson appointment was more of a knee jerk reaction by Liverpool. They were desperate for a manager and he had just done quite well with Fulham and so went for him, wrong choice totally.

The second one is obvious and something that the ABU brigade don't seem to get. When a team is dominating then the play tends to be in the other half and their penalty area and as such penalties tend to be at that end. When Liverpool tonked us, there were lots of penalty claims for liverpool and 3 which were given simply because so much of the action was happening in the United box and our defence is so piss poor.
