Usually run solo around where I live. Its quite hilly, but can do the 5km/30min on the flat.Originally posted by mudskipper View PostTook me over a year of regular running - I'm crediting caffeine with the extra 30 seconds.
Where are you running? Check if there's a parkrun near you - running with other people will knock a couple of minutes off.
Problem with park runs is their set times - I need to fit running in around other commitments and can't do the weekends.Hard Brexit now!

A bit too disciplined for me, I'm afraid
.
I like to just put on my running shoes when the mood takes me and go for it. Anyway, I reckon I've roughly achieved my goals. Just need to stick at it now and I think I've got the habit.Hard Brexit now!

I agree. And kudos to you for having the discpline to cut down on the booze, do some exercise and eat healthier. I would advise against running at your likely age though, unless you have proper running shoes that are fitted to match your running technique. Don't want to bust up the knees / ankles.Originally posted by sasguru View PostYou say that for a joke but actually 5 small-portioned meals are better than 3 large ones.Comment
