Oh you man you. Luck didn't play a bit in that accident then did it.

Snow's often to be considered softer than the road, and 30 mph is 50kph.

Surely there's more out there than these two?

So, less than 50mpg then? claimed 47, real world 36.2?

      Thanks for pointing that out.

Yes but that's British roads, with the potholes and the like. German roads have less resistance innit?

I feel sorry for you, for everyone will know how stupid you've been, when they see the CLS350 Blue Efficiency badge on the car

I'll just look for the cloth cap and knowledge you've given up on life
Who said the petrol engine that I bought is in a CLS and both of the cars you own yourself had more than adequate 5.5 V8 versions but you bottled out and bought the tractor engines for fuel economy. For the record the CLS 250 is more than enough to do the job it does so there is no real shame for the cloth cap wearers of this world for that. In fact it begs the question when the 250 / 350 CDI's were so good what inadequacies would the driver have to need an AMG badge? But then I doubt you would have the stomach to own the AMG when you see the quoted MPG in the low 20's

Feck me I seem to have accidentally stumbled into a club for small-penised men. As I don't belong, I'll bid you farewell and wish you well.

You said you'd bought a CLS about 2 months back; I assumed you were telling the truth. If you knew anything at all about cars, you'd know it was not power that got you places, but torque, and on that front, the 350CDIs and 320cdi's are miles in front. I also bought second hand, as I am not stupid like you, and wouldn't have been able to find at 5.5 V8 GL as no one had one for sale. Please also remember, that the only good petrol engines in these ranges of cars are the AMG engines, and you can't get them; has that managed to sink in yet?

If you look at the numbers, my GL is as fast, in the real world, as any 300bhp V8 GL, as it's the torque that drags it around, not the power, and the GL320 has 200ft lb more. The R350 I claim no credit for, as it is the wifes car, and she's able enough to choose her own. I bought my car, as it represented a cracking deal, and have only just agreed to sell it, as I have a change in circumstance. You, my old china, know 10% of fook all about cars it would seem. If you buy a big car, you buy a diesel, unless you're buying at the top of the food chain, any fool knows that.

I have owned a car that, when pushed, managed 8mpg, so please don't make any more stupid assumptions. The 250/350CDI's are better than any of the petrol CLS's, other than the AMG's

I think you should quit right now, have your tea, and try and stop being stupid.

Thats where the confusion is: I looked at one while I was buying my own car as the wife likes them and I was considering adding one to the order. I myself was not in the market for anything that has more than two seats and yes I am at the top of the food chain so I did not need to look at a diesel

Yet still bought the cooking petrol

                    Well done you

And no confusion, you did say you'd bought one.

I think we can put this down to you having an economy with the truth.

I've got the AMG C250 CDI

Mad enough if you want it to be.

                      No complaints at all!
