That is so true!!!Originally posted by bobspud View PostPlus if you own a really nice car then there is no real rush to get where you are going.

Try and sit three kids in them... It's a 4 seater.Originally posted by scooterscot View PostThere was three seating places in the one I sat in today..
Nowt more fun than fookin about with OEM. An ordinary RS6 would decimate an AMG CLS Shooting Brake. If you have enough money to shell out 70k for an estate car, you've got enough money to service it twice as often.Originally posted by scooterscot View PostI prefer to stick to OEM when buying high value items myself.
If you own a nice car, no reason to rush getting places? Why buy a high end performance car then, why not a cooking version with the same spec?Comment

Thats easy! If you have the V8 engine in a RR as you rev the engine the rev counter goes up but the fuel dial goes downOriginally posted by scooterscot View PostThat is so true!!!

My mates XKRS is managing 8-19mpg average consumption. There just isn't any point going nuts on a V10 Turbo.
So I'd rather go for the top spec extras and a slower engine.Comment

Of course and the tuned RS6 would beat an OEM AMG but then by the time you had proven your point on the M4 you wouldn't have a licence and would more than likely be off to prison for being a complete moronOriginally posted by Old Hack View PostTry and sit three kids in them... It's a 4 seater.

And there you have it, the CLS shooting brake comes with a 3 litre diesel that get over 50mpg, and still goes like the clappers. Don't like Audi's. Not many people in Munich doOriginally posted by Old Hack View PostWhat's got a V10 turbo?

The stock RS6 immolates an AMG, the tuned one makes it look stupid.Originally posted by bobspud View PostOf course and the tuned RS6 would beat an OEM AMG but then by the time you had proven your point on the M4 you wouldn't have a licence and would more than likely be off to prison for being a complete moron

CLS 350CDI doesn't get over 50mpg, maybe the twin turbo diesel 2.0 does, not the 3.0.Originally posted by scooterscot View PostAnd there you have it, the CLS shooting brake comes with a 3 litre diesel that get over 50mpg, and still goes like the clappers. And seriously, why buy a nice car and ruin it by putting a taxi engine in it?Comment

The chap at Mercedes shop said it does. Who do I believe?!
