I'm hoping for wonderful things from iOS7. An end to all my iPhone woe.Originally posted by SimonMac View PostI am OK with my iPhone 5, no plans to go to the 5s, like you I have dropped call issues, but this is in regular geographic locations so think its more likely to be network coverage, battery life is much better since moving to iOS7, can easily go a full day of use (and I mean heavy use, music/podcast playing all day)Comment

I've been using it for a few months, it's definitely better, and you get used to the new style surprisingly quickly but I doubt it will fix your problems. I've never had those problems making or receiving calls so I can't say for sure, but it's unlikely to be a software issue.Originally posted by rhubarb View PostI'm hoping for wonderful things from iOS7. My Galaxy is no better.Originally posted by rhubarb View PostBattery life is dreadful. And I mean dreadful. Will be dead within 6 hours if I dare to use it too much.
Same for me but I have to say I get through to your wife first time in less than ring. May not be your phone.Phone cuts out mid conversation with "Call Failed" displayed on the screen. If I try calling the person back, all I see is "call failed" for a few minutes. This happens every single day without fail. I once had to try calling my wife 17 times before I finally got through.
Had this for the last 7 years of phones. It's not Apple.I'll get a text message flash up on the screen saying I have a voicemail, but my phone hasn't even rung.
As I say had these problems on a number of different handsets and I am on Vodafone.have spoken to Orange, have had a new sim, account reset, phone restore - still happens. Orange deny its anything to do with them. A friend of mine on o2 also has these "call failed" issues on their 5 too, so not pointing the finger at Orange.
Apple have replaced the handset and still it happens.
And me on both Android and whatever pap operating system the N900 used to use.Not saying I'm NOT a dick, but I didn't have any issues like this on the 4s so I have to assume the 5 has problems.
Problems for me anyway.'CUK forum personality of 2011 - Winner - Yes really!!!!

I've also had my 5 replaced 3 times in less than a year due to other issues, so perhaps my judgement is somewhat clouded, but my experience of it hasn't been good.
I do regret not waiting for the 5s. Damn my impulsive must upgrade immediately attitude.Comment

Same phone again, was hoping for a larger screen like most other manufactures now offer. I used to get excited about apple releases now it's just minor upgrade profit making machine. Get Tim Cook out he is an innovation vacuum. My next phone will be a Samsung.Comment

Sounds like a dodgy handset. You should be able to get 6 hours of video playback out of it, unless you meant using it solidly for 6 hours drains it?Originally posted by rhubarb View PostBattery life is dreadful. And I mean dreadful. Will be dead within 6 hours if I dare to use it too much.

My neighbour has a finger print sensor instead of a key to get into the house. MIght need to get the cellotape out!Originally posted by amcdonald View PostWonder if it can be defeated with cellotape like a lot of finger print sensors...
But saying that the yale lock is not much better, put any yale key into a yale lock, whack it from behind with a block of wood and you're in."Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience". Mark TwainComment
