Otex eardrops are good, Hopi ear candles are widely reported to be a scam, don't use them. Get one of the Otex packs that has a pipette with it to flush out the wax after you have used the drops.

I'm not sure I can reachOriginally posted by zeitghostI note that eardrops now come with urea in the list of stuff that's in 'em.
You could try pissing in yer ear to see if that makes a difference.

Doc was going to prescribe OO drops but when I asked, said using stuff from the kitchen would be just fine as long as it's clean, to avoid the fixed charge for 10ml of oil. She reckoned oil was definitely the best bet as there was so much crud - to soften it only not to actively get rid of it.
Never had my ears syringed before although I know some people do it regularly, apparently it is rather amazing the difference even if you thought your hearing was great to start with - anyone want to comment on that?Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

Makes the world of difference. It's been a few years since I had mine done, but I used to get it done every couple, as I ended up with infections when I was on holiday because we'd go swimming regularly and water would get trapped.Originally posted by d000hg View PostNever had my ears syringed before although I know some people do it regularly, apparently it is rather amazing the difference even if you thought your hearing was great to start with - anyone want to comment on that?Comment

Useless medical stuff
Your ears secrete more earwax when you are afraid than when you aren’t. The chemicals and hormones released when you are afraid could be having unseen effects on your body in the form of earwax. Studies have suggested that fear causes the ears to produce more of the sticky substance, though the reasons are not yet clear.
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't thinkComment

Hi,
I have had my ears syringed twice as I usually suffer from this problem. You feel relief once your ears have been syringed, however you may not know that syringing damages your ear drum. I was told this by the nurse who syringed my ear. Your best bet is too warm up some plain olive oil and put it in your ears daily for about 2 weeks (Dont forget to put some cotton wool in your ear to stop the oil seeping out). Best done at night before going to bed. Although this will take longer and you wont get immediately relief it will prevent you from damaging your ear drums.
Hope that helpsComment
